Our Story

New Paragraph

Little Preemie began in a small town in Texas, called Spring, by a mom with a tiny blessing and a big dream! Our founder, Chelsey, had her baby boy, who was growth restricted and weighed only 4lbs 14oz. She was as happy as can be to have her first child, but she realized that there were hardly any stores that carried preemie-sized clothing, and the ones that did have his size had very little selection with material that was not as comfortable as newborn sized clothing. Chelsey felt called to solve this problem for other moms and strived to become the household name brand for premature babies, because even the tiniest of babies deserve to be celebrated. Not only did she dream of creating clothing that was the correct fit, but she also wanted the clothing to be cute and comfortable, because many babies have sensitive skin. Little Preemie was founded with true passion based on personal experience and a mission to improve motherhood for moms that have already been through so much just to meet their little bundle of joy. These tiny miracles should be celebrated for all they have gone through to come into the world and grow happy and healthy, too!

When you shop Little Preemie, you are purchasing from a business that not only cares about every single order and family they are impacting, but you are also supporting a business that gives back to NICU families in need of financial assistance to ensure that their little one is able to live happy and healthy for years to come. We are a brand with a lot of heart and a mission to change the baby industry for the better.

Bringing Preemie Families Together, One Little Outfit At A Time

Meet The Founder

Chelsey is a wife, boy mom and animal lover. She grew up in Northern California, went to Sonoma State University for undergraduate school and then moved across the world to attend veterinary school in the Caribbean islands. When the pandemic happened, she decided that she no longer wanted to become a doctor, moved to Texas, met her wonderful husband and went back to work in the corporate world, but her passion always led her back to entrepreneurship.

In addition to her corporate job, she enjoys running a home bakery, riding horses, camping, spending time with family and doing DIY home decor projects. Chelsey enjoys sharing her motherhood journey and connecting with other mompreneurs through social media and within her community women's group.
